a gathering ground for photographers

There is a particular kind of light that only comes once — the way a veil catches wind, the unposed moments between two people, the ease of a laugh caught mid-sentence, completely unposed. The Moment Keepers is a seasonal gathering built for photographers who chase that light. Not a workshop, not a class — a place to shoot alongside other photographers who care about how a moment felt, not just how many frames they got of it.
We shoot for the story, not the scroll.
MEET YOUR HOSTS
The Moment Keepers was founded by Joclyn, and [co-host name] — two photographers who believe the best images come from feeling, not formula.

About the Collective
Each season, we gather around a single story. Real styling. Real vendor collaborators. A fully set scene, ready to shoot. No instruction, no shot lists — just space to move at your own pace, alongside a small group of photographers who show up for the same reason you do. you'll find a setting we've built with care — one meant to be explored, not followed — and a quiet permission to shoot the way you actually see, not the way you think you're supposed to. But don’t forget, we’re also here together to learn from each other. Come as you are, shoot how you shoot, and leave with images that feel like yours.

This is also a place to grow your portfolio with intention. Real client work rarely leaves room for you to experiment — to try the pose you've been wanting to attempt, the light you've been chasing, the story you haven't had a reason to tell yet. Each gathering is a chance to stretch yourself creatively without the pressure of a paying client, to walk away with images that reflect the photographer you're becoming, not just the one you already are. Come to create the work you actually want to be known for.

how it works

STEP 01

watch for the announcement
Each seasonal shoot is announced on Instagram @momentkeepers.colllective — follow along so you don’t miss it.
STEP 02

Grab your spot
Tickets are limited and open on a first-come basis. Purchase link in Instagram bio and on this page. Once you purchase, you’re in.
STEP 03

get the details
Right after your purchase, we’ll send you a short brief — enough to know what to expect and start dreaming up your shots.
About a week before the gathering, we’ll send everything else: exact location, vendor partners, model or couple details, and anything else you’ll want to know before you arrive.
STEP 04

show up & shoot
Arrive, settle in, and shoot at your own pace. We'll gather everyone together for a bit during the day too — a moment to connect with the other photographers, not just the scene in front of you.
STEP 05

head home & create
Depending on the time of day, there may be an optional lunch or hangout afterward — a chance to grab food together, edit side by side, share a few frames, and swap feedback with other photographers who were just in the same space with you. No pressure to join — plenty of people head straight home to create on their own time, and that's just as good. However you spend the rest of the day, take your images home and let the story finish in post exactly how you saw it.
STEP 06

share the moment
Post your favorites, tag @momentkeepers.collective, and tag the vendors who helped bring the day to life. It’s how the story reaches beyond the place it happened in — and how the next gathering finds the right photographers.

For Vendors & Collaborators
Have a space, a service, or an idea you think belongs in a future Moment Keepers gathering? We'd love to hear it. Whether it's a venue, florals, styling, or something we haven't thought of yet, we're always open to collaborators who care about the story as much as we do. Reach out through Instagram or email at joclyn@momentkeeperscollective.com to start the conversation.
